Novartis is a globally operating biotechnology and pharmaceutical company based in Basel. The company was founded in 1996 as a result of a merger between the former pharmaceutical and chemical companies Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz, both from Basel. Back then it was the largest merger in the world. Novartis is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world with sales of USD 48.5 billion in 2016.
WONDROUS was contracted to completely redesign an internal blogging platform for the top management on the basis of the new branding.

Digital User Experience
In order to bring the designs to life, animated prototypes were developed right from the start and presented to the customer. In this way the different expectations of the project could be visualised and a feeling for the later end product could be mediated.
For an excellent digital user experience and a perfect interaction design, animations and transitions are crucial. The designs and prototypes were therefore supplemented with various motion studies. Step by step towards perfection.
The use of digital fonts is also crucial for an outstanding branding experience. Along with best practices, a consistent typography concept was invested at an early stage, which was consistently applied across the entire platform.
The blogging platform was fully implemented with responsive design. Because mobile accessibility is an absolute must-criterion for consuming news content.

Thanks to the use of a Living Style Guide, various content modules and features were tested and presented in the browser at an early stage in the process.
