01 Intro

Less is more – Focus on high-quality design and content

For the overall redesign of the ARCONDIS corporate website, we focused on high-quality content and how it is presented. Our goal was to create an online presence that is much lighter and more high-end. As the previous website had a deep site structure with many subsites, content, and several elements, we commenced with a WONDROUS exploration phase in order to identify and understand the stakeholders and their needs and pain points, the key requirements, followed by the design phase and finally the implementation of the new solution:

  • Analyze the business requirements
  • Create Personas and user journeys
  • Preparation, hosting and evaluation of interviews 
  • Content workshop to clean up the sitemap and the whole structure
  • Develop information architecture and deduce technical requirements
  • Create wireframes and a design vision
  • Develop the MVP of the new website 
  • Defining use cases and stories for a chatbot experience
  • Creating a chatbot character and integrate this into the new website

02 Particles

Particles for a unique language

As for the design of the new website, we wanted to work with as few images and other distracting elements as possible – the aim was to create a design that would not be too intrusive and break up the negative space, but still, bring some excitement to the website. Which was why it was decided to use particles, which move discreetly in the background and appear in the form of a so-called parallax effect for the page visitor when scrolling. 

03 Details

Discreet but sophisticated details

No pictures at all? Only the people? Yes absolutely! Use headlines running across the entire surface, particles, discreet interactions and hover effects - a few well-chosen details can give a website that certain something that makes it so special in the end.

04 User centred

It's Archie 👋 – the new Arcondis Chatbot

As we decided to go with a "less is more" approach as little content and without a specific imagery language, we wanted to have less, but catchy and high-quality elements to complement the new website. So we created "Archie", as a friendly assistant that helps the visitors to find the right information or contact person without having to navigate through the page. We analyzed and evaluated the most common use cases that people have when they visit ARCONDIS and implemented the aiaibot software to add another way to reaching out for information by using this chatbot experience as an exciting extra, or as our client like to call it: "The icing on the cake!".
